When God Changes the Plans

I have always been a planner. I write list, I love to physically check something off of a list, from the time I was a little girl I knew what my wedding was going to look like, I planned how I thought my life was going to go, I plan the night before what I am going to do the next day-- I mean I am a crazy person when it comes to plans. Over and over again though I have watched God wreck those plans for the better ( and yet, I still continue to be a stubborn human). When things don't go how we plan them to it's so easy to get discouraged and to want to throw in the towel. However, we should be totally opposite. Hear me out.. I am writing to myself today because trust me when I say, I am the first to want to give up on something when it doesn't happen in the timing that I would have liked, but I have been trying to change my mindset and my attitude towards planning. Basically, I have been slowly, but surely, loosening the reigns and trying to give full control to God. That's the only way to find freedom, God sees the BIG picture, God not only sees our past and our present but also our future. He know's what we are going to encounter, He knows what mistakes we will make and He knows all of our successes, He know what we will be upset about and He knows what we will rejoice about, God knows what we need and when (and if)  we need it. God isn't a God that wants to take away but "God is a God who provides". Sometimes I feel like God's just probably like "Taylor, calm down, you have no idea what I have in store for you." That's the mindset that we should have. God has so so so much in store for each and everyone of our lives, not to say that everything will be perfect and giddy but I can promise that God's plans are best and God's timing is perfect. If He is putting YOUR plans that you wanted on hold its because HIS plans are better and they are exactly what you need. Let's give God the reigns over our lives today, let's let Him take control. Full freedom comes from fully trusting Him. He's a good good father who loves, and protects, and wants the absolute best for His children.

Have a Fantastic Day!

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Proverbs 19:21

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

Proverbs 3:6

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
