This is Alex, she is my little sister & she's 9 (about to be 10) years old. When she was first born, I was 10, I had no idea the impact or the influence I would have on her. I never realized how much she would watch & then copy what I do. However, looking at her now I literally see a little me. I mean, her personality, her sarcasm(at such a young age too, I'm pretty proud of myself), her mannerisms, even the way she speaks, and not to mention her good looks and sense of style (*winky face*). We are all mentors in some way, whether you know it or not. There is someone that looks up to you. Having a little sibling makes me watch my actions, things I say, my attitude, and my respect towards people. I have also learned how to love someone more than myself, I have become extremely protective(overprotective, whatever you want to call it), and I have learned crazy amounts of patience (though, I probz forget that one a lot). Alex also teaches me things all the time, she is wise beyond her years, she is kind hearted, she is so talented, she is so smart, and she is one of the funniest humans to walk the earth. The point of this whole thing is the other night Alex sent me "her first blog" that she wanted me to read. It is so sweet and it touched my heart. I was so honored that she wanted to write a blog, just like me. I felt no need to write much of anything because she covers pretty much everything in her blog. I hope you enjoy my mini me's words!
& remember, be an awesome mentor full of love and life and Jesus. Raise up the next generation to be bold and hungry for more of Him. I'm so pumped to see my little sis, at such a young age, already getting it!
Words From Alex (a.k.a Woman of God):
"Ever felt like you're lost and do not know what to do??? Been there before...It is not fun when you feel like you are all alone and everything is up to you and you're so worried that you can't even sleep and sometimes you just want to scream. But, did you know that all of that can go away if you just have this thing called faith??? When you feel lost and stressed about something and you just do not know what to do, have faith. It will make you feel secure and safe when you have faith that God has everything under control because guess what... HE DOES!!! He knows what is going to happen even when you have no clue. So remember, next time you think you are lost in life, that God has everything under control!
