WHEN FEAR TAKES OVER

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demands, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39

Growing up, I was such a care free little kid, who was all about fun. I honestly never really remember worrying much about anything. Recently, with news articles and stories storming the web and television, I have begun to notice that fear and anxiety knocked on the door of my life and I basically threw them a welcome party. I couldn’t get on Facebook for 5 minutes without seeing at least 13 articles or post about something scary going on or something bad that has happened and it would honestly ruin my attitude and mood for the day. Don't get me wrong, is it important to know what is going on in the world--Absolutely. However, I was letting the fear of circumstances going on around me affect me so much that I started to believe that God wasn’t in control and if He was than He’s not being very loving. But gosh that is just one of the lies that the devil will feed you(me). I started looking around with my tiny view of things and let me tell you, it looked so bad, but God sees it all, He sees the big picture and just like Joshua 1:5 says “He will never leave you nor forsake you”. BEST PART?--He not only sees the bigger picture, He controls it. I know sometimes our pride gets in the way and  we, or at least I, feel like we can definitely control our own situations and that we have got this covered, but trust me, we can’t and we don’t. THANK GOD we don’t control whats going on in this world because I have trouble with hearing my alarm clock, making breakfast, and making my hair presentable (seriously it’s a struggle). Thankfully, He is sovereign, He is in control, He is powerful, He is loving, He cares about us.  He has engraved each of us on the palm of His hands, His love for us is indescribable and unconditional,  He will never leave us, and He wants the absolute best for us.  Don't buy the lies of this world, trade the fear and anxiety for Peace and faith. Jesus is so worthy of our praise. Put your confidence in His plans for your life and trust that what He has for you, is to bring glory to His name because He is so worthy. Don't buy the lie that He does not care or love you, The Lord is gracious, righteous, and full of compassion, He loves you- Do not be afraid, He is with us every second of every day. We can put our hope in to the Plans of God and I am so thankful for that.

Have an awesome day!
