I have a lot of family and friends that are getting ready to have babies! Baby registries can be so overwhelming! It is hard to know what is necessary vs. what can be skipped. Date Night Outfit & Dating Advice

Who doesn't love a good date night?! Honestly though, most of the time, Christian and I are perfectly okay with just hanging out & watching a movie (or The Office) & eating pizza. However, for those date nights "out" I have the cutest outfit for y'all!

This dress is a go to of mine. It's comfy, and so cute. I feel like I say "It's comfy" in every post but its true. All I want is comfort when I buy clothes & this dress does that for me. Plus, I love anything with some floral print!

DATING ADVICE
Christian and I have been dating for 3.5 years now. He's fun, he loves Jesus, he's respectful, he's so energetic, he's romantic, he's so much more. We are so opposite but also so much a like? We pretty much balance each other out. I won't fool you though, dating & relationships are not at all easy. I'm obviously no expert but I've had a little tiny bit of dating experience. Basically, being with another imperfect person (like myself) 24/7 is not always going to be butterflies and pixie dust, no matter how much we want that to be true.
The last three years have been full of ups, downs, and everything in between. I've loved the journey. I love our relationship. We are so close,  we are best friends. So with the roller coaster journey, we've obviously learned some things. I was talking to Christian earlier about this blog and basically asking him his opinion also, and we both agree on TWO major things that have kept us strong and together.

1. Jesus
2. Laughter

Seems so simple, huh? Honestly, the number one thing that has changed our relationship is Jesus. Growing our relationships with Him and changing our own lives for Him has in return taught us to care, to serve well, and to love like Christ loves the church. A relationship without Christ at the center is like a house built on the sand. Seems sturdy, but it will weaken, and eventually it will crumble. I'm so thankful to say that our relationship is built on Christ. Which means in our weakness we are made strong, when disagreements are formed grace will be found, we will not crumble or give up but we will rise up and fight for each other-- not against each other. ( Disclaimer: This doesn't mean relationships will be perfect. Ours is not even close. No pixie dust will be present)
This has, however, taught us how to love one another well. It is the most important thing, NO DOUBT, in our relationship.

Laughter. Why is laughter important in a relationship? Well, being all serious all the time is exhausting. One thing Christian and I do is laugh, ALOT. We are both incredibly silly and cray (ask any of our closest friends/family). Look, times are going to be tough, you're going to get annoyed easily sometimes, you'll be hangry (hungry + angry) or slangry (sleepy + angry) and say things you regret--- LAUGH A LITTLE. Most of time, the reason we are annoyed is something so stupid it's actually comical. Life is too short to stay mad & hold grudges. Relationships are too precious to take for granted. Obviously, theres a time to be serious & a time to joke. I'm talking those crazy little moments. Don't start World War 3 over the fact that he got the wrong type of taco from Taco Bell (Yes, I am speaking from experience. I get really HANGRY y'all). Learn to laugh instead, have fun, make jokes, be silly. It's a part of what has kept us together and it is what has made him my best friend.

Tips For Bros From a Bro
1) Always get the correct kind of Taco... Ladies don't play around with that kind of stuff...
2) If she wants you to rub her feet even though you are slaying some noobs on Call of Duty... you do so.
3) Find a video or picture that really makes her laugh... when she's mad at you just play it or show her in the midst of everything ... it usually helps
4) You are WRONG... SHE is RIGHT... PERIOD.
5) Most importantly, lead her, love her and respect her. Lead her as God intended men to. Not in a "you do what I say kind of way" but a nurturing and loving way. As God truly intended. Love her, love her as God loves his Church. And finally, respect her. Respect her as any girl rightly deserves. No matter what.
