My Matron of Honor Choice & Why

I have gotten a lot of comments of people so touched by the fact that I chose my grandmama as my Matron of Honor, so today I really wanted to explain a little bit more as to why I chose her.

A LIST OF THE MANY REASONS I, WITHOUT A DOUBT, CHOSE MY GRANDMA

  1. She is one of my best friends
  2. We have always had a special bond, since I was a little girl. I would spend days at grandmama's house, loved spending the night, loved being with her. To this day, I still love hanging out with her.
  3. She is the most honest human being. What better quality do you need in a Matron of Honor? She only ever has my best interest in mind.
  4. She is the most selfless person I know. She thinks about others before herself and doesn't hesitate to meet a need for someone.
  5. She is so strong. I really do look up to her and how she is so able to handle anything at all.
  6. She is so stinking classy and has taught me how to be a true southern belle (just like her).
  7. She's so reliable. I know, no matter what, she is always there for me. She is always there to turn to, She has been since day one.
  8. She has made a HUGE impact on my life. She has helped shape the woman I am today. She has taught and loved, and listened, and supported, and helped. She didn't have to do all of the things she has done for me or anyone else for that matter. She did it because she sincerely wants to and loves to brighten someones day.
  9. She has a heart of gold. Going back to #8, she really does think about how she can do something for someone all the time. Her heart is so big and it really has taught me to open my eyes to see all the people around me in need of just a simple, kind gesture.
  10. I could go on and on but I'll leave it here for now. Lastly, she is hands down the hottest 64 year old woman you ever did see and I want her standing right next to me on my wedding day.

Honestly, I didn't even come close to the description that she deserves. I look up to this woman so much, I can't tell you how much she means to me. She is loving, caring, funny, honest, feisty, fun, and overall one of the best people I know. I am blessed to call her mine. Honestly, when it comes down to it, there's really no one else I could have picked as deserving as this woman. I am honored to have her stand beside me on a VERY important day and to be right by my side through this whole adventure.

Proverbs 31: 10-31

The Woman Who Fears the Lord

10
[d] An excellent wife who can find?

    She is far more precious than jewels.
11
The heart of her husband trusts in her,
    and he will have no lack of gain.
12
She does him good, and not harm,
    all the days of her life.
13
She seeks wool and flax,
    and works with willing hands.
14
She is like the ships of the merchant;
    she brings her food from afar.
15
She rises while it is yet night
    and provides food for her household
    and portions for her maidens.
16
She considers a field and buys it;
    with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
17
She dresses herself[e] with strength
    and makes her arms strong.
18
She perceives that her merchandise is profitable.
    Her lamp does not go out at night.
19
She puts her hands to the distaff,
    and her hands hold the spindle.
20
She opens her hand to the poor
    and reaches out her hands to the needy.
21
She is not afraid of snow for her household,
    for all her household are clothed in scarlet.[f]
22
She makes bed coverings for herself;
    her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23
Her husband is known in the gates
    when he sits among the elders of the land.
24
She makes linen garments and sells them;
    she delivers sashes to the merchant.
25
Strength and dignity are her clothing,
    and she laughs at the time to come.
26
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
    and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
27
She looks well to the ways of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
29
“Many women have done excellently,
    but you surpass them all.”
30
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
    and let her works praise her in the gates.

Thanks for Visiting
xoxo
