Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
We have all felt broken, shame, regret, and unworthy. Needless to say, none of those are fun things to feel but as Christians they are inevitable. However, they are all lies of the enemy.
In my walk with God and from advice and testimonies of others that I am close to, I have found this pattern of sometimes justifying our actions and stretching the boundary line as far as possible. That could look like a lot of things- we are all different. It could be spending money on yourself knowing you won’t have enough to give to church, it could be cheating on a test, it could be lying, it could be testing boundaries with a boyfriend or girlfriend, it could be cheating on a spouse, it could be anything you struggle with or find tempting because we ALL have those struggles and hate to break it to you but we are all destined to fail because we just can’t do this alone. But, “What is impossible for men is made possible with God” (Luke 18:27) I don’t know about you, but I tend to focus and dwell on my struggles, even if I mean well and I am focusing on doing the right thing— I AM STILL DWELLING ON IT. and for some reason I am always shocked to find myself back in my old ways, doing the same thing. Well let’s think about it, when we focus on something we tend to go towards that same thing, do we not? If you want to do your absolute best on a test, you FOCUS in class and you FOCUS on your studies, same thing goes with this—if we focus on our struggles we are going to constantly find ourselves back in that same spot, BUT if we focus on Jesus our whole situation and life will begin to change. Let’s begin to focus our mind and life on Jesus and let our minds begin to become consumed with thoughts of Him and His grace instead of our failures and the lies of the enemy. Jesus is a restorer and in His eyes you are already forgiven and you are so incredibly loved. With Jesus, there is no shame, there is no condemnation, not because of anything we have done, but because of what He did for us on that cross. Know that you are forgiven and know that you can not defeat your struggles alone but with God all things are made possible. Jesus calls us to “come as we are” He doesn’t say “clean up your act first”, He doesn’t expect you to come wearing a mask to try and hide your imperfections. NO, He says “come as you are”, imperfections and all, and He will meet us where we are at. There is no sin, no struggle, no temptation too big for Jesus to conquer. We are a broken people but none of us, in His eyes, are “too far gone”. For all of us, in our own way, are in desperate need of a savior. Plus, Jesus has a record of taking broken, distorted circumstances and turning them into something beautiful and using it to glorify Him. Rejoice in the freedom that comes from Jesus, knowing that you are so loved, that you are already forgiven, and that His grace is sufficient for you.
So I have been working so hard on designing my blog page exactly how I want it to look & something that fits my personality, so don’t mind all these changes that are taking place right now! I have 13,000 thoughts running through my head at all times so I have been loving being able to share my thoughts in my absolutely favorite way-writing. I have decided to have a schedule for my blog post, so I will be posting a new blog every Tuesday! I am super pumped to see how God is going to work and use this passion of mine!
Have a great rest of the week everyone, <3
